I don't know if this is all over the country or just here in Idaho- but Rhematologists are in demand! There are few here in our big city and the wait to get in is months and months. My family physician tried to get me in and my appointment was set for dec....about a 4 month wait. THEN maternal fetal medicine calls in a referral and I got in the next week.
I like him. I he is not all snobby like many doctors are- especially with you start seeing specialists, they must thing they are so special. blah. He has an assistant too, a PA-C. I've seen her more times than him. and I really like her. She is a pretty, spicy, red head...relates to being a mom and so good and answering my questions. Maybe I just feel more comfortable around her because she is a woman.
Last appointment we went over my lab scores...Did you know the "lupus" blood draw l they typically have to send all the way to a lab LA. It is apparently the best. They took that blood draw the first appointment. So I asked her about it.... and it was good news. So glad my lupus is in check.
THE BEST ADVICE she has given me....all you pregnant ladies will like this too...is to rest for at least 1/2 hour every 4 hours.
Before she said that I felt like- yes I'm exhausted, and yes I don't want to do anything...BUT just because I'm pregnant doesn't give me the excuse to actually do that.
Well apparently it does. haha.
and it helps me to have a better schedule. work a little bit. and rest. work rest. work rest.
instead of work work work and take a day off because I've worked myself to death and cant go on.
Maybe you all already knew this....maybe I should have already known this. haha. oh well. I know now.
