This is a compilation of some of my memories and experiences that happened during my teenage years. Start at the begginning of this blog to hear the beginning of my story.

The most recent posts will now be my experiences with Lupus as an adult and mother.

Addicted

On Monday the big event for the day was shopping at WinCo, and Syd got to pick out the Family night treat. Before I even got past the produce she had the frosted animal cookies in the cart. Nice.

It wasn't till after dinner and the package was opened I got a nice big handful of the pink/white cookies and started crunching that I remembered.

When I was on Prednisone{ forever}, I craved certain foods like crazy. It was probably like a pregnancy craving- so strong and desirable that it wouldn't go away till I got a fix. but it lasted longer than a pregnancy craving, since I was on prednisone longer than a pregnancy :)

While I could remember I typed down a few of my cravings that I remember....

sugar wafers- Costco kind. The ginormous pack of sugar lard filled light crispy wafers.
Orange Julius french fries with thier delicioso FRY SAUCE.
You see- their fries are not all puny and skinny they are nice and thick. Not quite a steak fry- but right before you arrive at one. yum.
Twizzlers
Egg noodles boiled, then sprinkle with cheddar cheese and salt. *simplified mac n cheese*
frosted animal cookies
ice ice ice - Whenever I'm anemic I totally crave ice. When I"m not anemic I chew it more out of habit.
Flying J (and WinCo) Potato Wedges, just not the smell. Send someone in to get them.
kooooool-aid.
I've always been a kool-aid gal though.

What an I missing? Friends, fam- do you remember anything else?

  1. I remember tons and tons of ice! We would fill up huge glasses at your house and chow down. We were both anemic, so funny and kind of sad! I loved getting it at your house, your ice machine made better ice than mine for some reason:) Miss you Des!
